Dear patients,

I’m finally taking the time to write to you after a long period of silence and absence, to let you know how I’ve been.

As some of you may already know, I had to stop working at the Healthcube in Tervuren very suddenly at the beginning of April 2025.

I suffered from septic shock caused by an extremely severe case of bacterial meningitis. This ordeal plunged me, for many months, into a very gruelling medical journey, punctuated by multiple operations, frequent hospital stays and some very difficult times, but also, little by little, signs of hope and recovery.

Today, more than a year on, I am finally back home. Life is slowly getting back to normal. I am recovering at my own pace and am now focusing entirely on my rehabilitation and my health, despite the amputations caused by this illness.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me during this time, whether through a message, a thought, a kind word or simply through their kindness. Your support has touched me deeply and given me a great deal of strength during the most difficult moments.

I realise that this sudden disappearance may have caused some concern or raised questions, and I felt it was important to offer you these few explanations today.

At the moment, I have no plans to return to work as a physiotherapist. I am devoting myself entirely to my recovery and rehabilitation.

Nevertheless, I cherish very fond memories of all those years spent working alongside you at the Health Cube. Thank you for your trust, your loyalty and all the wonderful conversations we’ve shared.

And who knows… perhaps we’ll see each other again soon.

After a long period of silence and absence, I’m finally taking the time to write a few words to you and give you some news.

As some of you may already have heard, I was suddenly forced to cease my work at Health Cube Tervuren in early April 2025. I was struck down by a severe case of bacterial meningitis, which led to septic shock. This resulted in a very gruelling medical journey lasting over a year, involving numerous operations, frequent hospital admissions and difficult moments, but also, gradually, hope and recovery.

Today, more than a year later, I am finally back home. Slowly but surely, I am getting my life back on track, one step at a time. I am working hard on my rehabilitation and recovery, despite the amputations caused by this illness.

I would therefore like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me during this difficult time, whether through messages, kind words, expressions of support or simply by thinking of me. Your support has touched me deeply and given me a great deal of strength during the hardest moments.

I realise that this may have raised some questions or caused some concern, which is why I felt it was important to get in touch today.

At the moment, I have no plans to resume my professional work as a physiotherapist. My focus is entirely on my health, my recovery and my rehabilitation.

However, I look back with great warmth and gratitude on all the years I was able to spend with you at Health Cube. Thank you for your trust, loyalty and all the wonderful encounters over the years.

And who knows… perhaps we’ll see you again.
