I trained as a psychologist and obtained a degree in psychology in the Dominican Republic in 1997.
I then continued my academic career in Belgium, where I completed an Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA) in psychology in 2001, followed by a PhD
in the psychology of migration at UCLouvain in 2006.
In 2017, I completed my training with a university certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults at the Centre Chapelle-aux-Champs (UCLouvain Brussels).
For many years, I have been working with people from diverse backgrounds, whitin a range of therapeutic and mental health care settings.
I have worked at the CARDA Centre (Red Cross), at Solenta vzw, and within
the "Santé en Exil" team of SSM-Fil'Ambul, where I spent over thirteen years
as part of a team specialized in transcultural psychology.
I offer psychological support informed by a psychoanalytic approach, with a
strong focus on speech and on each person's unique life story.

am convinced that everyone has the right to tell his or her story and to be heard. Therapeutic work is aimed at regaining the thread of one's own story, giving meaning to what one has experienced and better
history, to make sense of lived experiences, in order to ease psychological distress.
My approach is also shaped by transcultural psychology, with careful attention to cultural
differences, diverse life trajectories and multiple ways of relating to the world.
I offer a respectful, warm and containing space for listening, which encourages personal reflection
