Diagnostics

You can also come to us for psychodiagnostics for your child or adolescent. With the results of a
diagnostic testing you get a better understanding of the cause and nature of the problems. That way,
appropriate therapeutic interventions are formulated to help them overcome their problems and
building their future together.

The following psychodiagnostic tests are available at Healthcube:
- Intelligence research

- Investigation in case of suspected autism spectrum disorder

Diagnostic testing Depending on type of treatment
Description in the text

Types of diagnostic tests

Intelligence research

With an intelligence test, you map out the intellectual and cognitive abilities of your child or young person. This will give you a good picture of your child's or adolescent's strengths and weaknesses, which can provide important information about your child's behaviour, feelings and thoughts in class or while studying. Usually, the intelligence test is also part of an examination for learning disabilities, attention disorders or autism spectrum disorder. The full examination takes a few sessions. Target price is 400 euros and includes:

  • a parent meeting/discussion with key care figures (session 50 minutes)
  • using the test material and taking the test itself (about 2.5 hours, with child or young person alone)
  • the scoring and interpretation of the test material
  • feedback of test results with parents/caregivers and child/young person + counselling (session 50 minutes)
  • receipt of extensive reporting (paper and/or digital)

Valid and reliable Wechsler intelligence tests are used for test-taking. The tests are taken in the morning, so that your child is not yet tired, on Thursday or Friday.

We recommend getting the diagnosis confirmed by a psychiatrist or neurologist; we work with doctors in the area for this purpose.

Attention and concentration research

Attention research investigates the various forms of attention in your child (selective attention, sustained attention, response inhibition, ...) We examine whether these are caused by an attention deficit disorder (e.g. an ADHD type), by environmental influences, ... We use questionnaires for the child, parent/caregiver and teacher, an intelligence test, test material on attention disorders in the child itself and a class observation (in consultation with the school).

Target price is 580 euros and includes:

  • A parent discussion/discussion with the care figures (session 50 minutes)
  • the use of the test material and the test sessions themselves (approximately 2x2.5 hours, with child or young person alone)
  • the scoring and interpretation of the test material
  • class or playtime observation (about 1 hour or more during class time) and contact with teacher
  • feedback of results with parents/caregivers and child or adolescent/counselling (session 50 minutes)
  • receipt of extensive reporting (paper and/or digital)

We recommend getting the diagnosis confirmed by a psychiatrist or neurologist; we work with doctors in the area for this purpose.
