Osteopathy is a holistic (total) approach to your health. An osteopath not only looks at where you have pain, but takes into account whole body - muscles, joints, organs, blood flow and nervous system - to understand why your complaints arise.
In the first session, we start with a detailed conversation about your symptoms, lifestyle, medical history, diet, stress, etc.
The osteopath will then perform a comprehensive general and specific clinical examination.
The treatment consists of manual techniques (with the hands) focusing on restoring movement and balance in the body.
After the treatment, one may feel fatigue or slight pain. The body may need 2 to 3 days to integrate the treatment.
You will be given advice on posture, movement, breathing and nutrition.

What is told during counselling is protected by professional confidentiality. Within the Healthcube group practice, there is shared professional confidentiality. This means that internal consultation is possible with the other healthcare providers (who are also bound by professional secrecy).
An appointment can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the session, after which half of the session will be charged. If the appointment is cancelled/not notified on the same day and you do not show up, the session will be charged in full, unless it is a case of force majeure (illness or accident).
As we consider hygiene important, we ask you to bring your own towel.
