I am Nina Mommaerts, graduated from the Free University of Brussels (VUB) as a clinical
psychologist. My passion for counselling children, adolescents and families arose
during my studies. I am convinced that every child has the right to a voice and the right
guidance, tailored to his or her unique needs. By working together, we can
supporting each individual in his or her growth and development.
In addition to my degree in Clinical Psychology, I also completed a degree in Word Arts.
This training has taught me to deal with language, stories and emotions in a unique way
go. It helps me create new insights in a playful and flexible way and
therapy more attractive and accessible, especially among children and adolescents.
During my master's internship, I expanded my experience in the field of therapeutic
counselling and diagnostics. Here, I learned valuable techniques and insights, specifically
focusing on counselling individuals and families. Thanks to this experience, I now offer
individual therapy and diagnostic pathways, where I have studied ADHD-
diagnostics.
Besides my work as a clinical psychologist, I also have several interests that make me
constantly inspire and challenge. Thus, I have a keen interest in education and continue to keep myself
always retraining. For example, I enjoy delving into neuroscience, a fascinating
domain that is closely related to my work as a psychologist, but that also informs my understanding of the
human brain and behaviour further expands.
You can come to me for both therapeutic support and diagnostic pathways,
where I always strive to provide tailor-made care, so that everyone gets the guidance he or
she needs.
