Audrey van Maele
I’m Audrey, 29 years old and live in Herent.
As a child I’ve always been sporty and from the age of 13 to 22 I did competition athletics, especially the 400m and 400m hurdles.
In my last year of sports studies I chose the option Fitness and health, where I came into contact with Crossfit. It was love at first sight. Literally, because that’s where I met my boyfriend Benoit, now more than 5 years ago.
Since then I have been working as a Personal Trainer and Crossfit coach.
Not only running and Endurance is my area of expertise, I’m also specialized in assisting pregnant women and young mothers in their sport. I myself became a mummy of Manon in 2017 and of Sézane in 2019. During my pregnancy, I was able to train up to the last day, with adapted exercises of course. Even after that toughest Workout of life (the pregnancy), I learned to rebuild calmly and give your body time.
Before I started working full time as a personal coach I was a physical education teacher. I soon noticed how much the postures and movements of young people were deteriorating. By giving training I hope that children and young adults will move better in daily life. And this with a smile during each session!

My passion for sport and fitness has already developed in my youth, But during my teens I suffered from asthma and sports was no longer so self-evident, which caused me too to be overweight. From here my interest in nutrition flourished. With ups and downs, I learned, and still through regular training, as much as possible what was related to nutrition and exercise. These adjustments give me so much more energy, which makes it easy to keep.
I evolved from endurance sportsman (running, MTB) to Fitness (Crossfit) to eventually combine a mix of both. Both worlds, together with a balanced diet, are the key to a healthy body.
